I have a friend that works at a department store chain and back in September she requested pto and was approved but she also gave a written copy to her boss. About 3 months later she reminds her lead about the vacay and her lead said “ok I’ll put in the calendar”. Her lead mentioned this to her boss. So what her boss did was ask HR to cancel her vacation and that’s what HR did. The vacation was going to take place in January 2016, but her boss cancelled her vacations the month before after everything was set and paid for. Judging from my friends story don’t get a job at ****. She’s been there 11 yrs and barely got passed the $10 mark after all these years. I hope my friend doesn’t get mad at me because she doesn’t know I’m writing about it. But I had to get it off my chest.
